Travel Essentials

No matter the length, type or goal of the trip, these are the things I always bring with me.

  • Kindle - Lots of reading options!

  • Packing Cubes - Use these to stay organized.

  • Probiotics - I like the brand Seed, but any probiotic you like is recommended because things can get funky with your digestion when you travel.

  • ID, Passport, Visa, etc - Depending on the destination make sure you have what you need.

  • Sunglasses - When I was a kid I forgot my sunglasses almost every vacation my family went on. We always had to stop by a store and buy some. Now I don’t go anywhere without a pair.

  • Headphones - I love having a noise canceling pair and a normal pair, but I always bring at least 1 pair.

  • Insulated Water Bottle - I don’t go anywhere without my Hydroflask. I highly recommend bringing a water bottle with you when you travel. Bring it empty through security at the airport and fill it up on the secure side.

  • Reusable Stuffable Bag - I throw one of these ChicoBags in my suitcase when I travel. It takes up very little space and has come in handy on the road.

  • Snacks - Travel can include long days and not knowing where your next meal is coming from. Keeping some easy snacks could prevent getting hangry at just the right moment.

  • Light Layers - It’s amazing how much the temperature on a plane can change over the course of a flight, so having the ability to add or remove layers is key, even when traveling to warm destinations.
